PAS 2035 is a specification for the energy retrofit of domestic buildings and is part of a wider aim to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy wastage in UK properties. Falcon Energy can certify your project – we are qualified PAS 2035 Retrofit Assessors and are TrustMark registered.
We will book you in as soon as possible and highlight a whole house approach with energy efficiency measures required of your build to be compliant within ECO (Energy Company Obligation) measures.
What is PAS 2035?
PAS 2035 is an over-arching certification or document within the retrofit standards framework for domestic properties. It came into use in 2019 after the completion of the Home Counts Review, commissioned by the government, which identified a better process for the retrofit of energy efficiency and renewable energy measures.
It covers a number of best practice guidance and includes solutions such as the modelling and installation of Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP). It essentially embraces retrofit work that will eliminate defects like shallow retrofit, accountability, poor design and performance gap.
By considering the home, environment, occupancy, and householder improvement objectives, it is truly a whole building approach.
PAS 2035 and TrustMark
The team at Falcon Energy can demonstrate to customers that we have the skills and knowledge to deliver the best practice standards and trading practices in the sector, as we are TrustMark registered. As part of this, projects are logged in the TrustMark Data Warehouse by a TrustMark registered Retrofit Coordinator, meaning you can work with us in confidence.
What is TrustMark?
Within the retrofit standards framework, TrustMark has been developed under PAS 2035 as the quality mark, and is supported by an Industry Code of Conduct and a Consumer Charter and the framework of technical standards for retrofit.
TrustMark is a Government Endorsed Quality Scheme and covers work a consumer has carried out in or around their home. Registered businesses with TrustMark have been fully vetted.
What to expect from a PAS 2035 assessment
Our qualified assessors will visit the property in question at a time convenient to you and assess the dwelling across three criteria; Occupancy Assessment, an Energy Assessment and a Condition assessment. These reports will allow a Medium-Term Improvement Plan to be outlined by the Retrofit Coordinator over period of 25 years.
