Air Tightness Tests

Falcon Energy Ltd is an independent air tightness testing company.

Two directors, who have a vast amount of experience in the construction industry, formed the company to assist the house builder with the new Changes to part L .

In the 2006 Building Regulations, part L requires that all new domestic dwellings will need to demonstrate they are airtight. This means that each type of domestic dwelling will need to pass a mandatory air tightness test prior to occupation. We offer you our services and hope to fulfil all of your requirements.

Falcon Energy offers you an air pressure leakage test achieving compliance with the 2006 Building Regulations part L.

A fully trained and competent air-testing technician will carry out the test, using a range of calibrated test equipment capable of all the required measurement accuracy.

Building control officers will require test certificates from a registered testing organisation in order to fulfil all their requirements under the Building Regulations. Subject to a past test, you will be provided with a test certificate showing evidence that demonstrates the air permeability has been achieved. If the dwelling should occur a fail our technician will provide you with a full onsite report pinpointing any unacceptable leakage, ready for all remedial work to be carried out in preparation for a re test. We also carry out thermal imaging and smoke tests.
