Sustainable new build development

Greenplan Designer Homes, a local Sussex developer specialising in innovative and contemporary homes, choose Falcon Energy to carry out all planning statements, calculations and on site energy testing. As a premium developer, the properties were built with renewable energy at the forefront, in an exclusive location.

The homes at the development sold with an energy rating of A and included low voltage lighting, low maintenance solar panels connected to the central heating and hot water supply, and all building materials sourced with energy efficiency in mind.

The units in the development were designed and built to meet a code level 4 standard for sustainable homes. As accredited energy assessors, our team carried our pre-assessment reports and ensured all planned energy standards were met to pass strict testing. This applies to nine categories of assessment, including energy/C02 emissions, water, materials, waste and ecology. We also consulted on energy advice and installation throughout.

Once the small scale development was completed, the unique properties were sold and now offer families beautifully efficient homes that help manage a responsible carbon footprint. In the long term, such properties are the future and will help save on energy costs and go towards reducing levels of local pollution.

The team at Falcon Energy ensured the design stage SAPs were included in the build and completed SAPS and EPCs during the construction and on completion. This allowed the developer to meet the requirements for sustainable new builds and to have proper certification for the planning authorities and potential buyers.
